Fond Memories of a great guy and times shared together....

Only recently and quite by chance I have learnt of the sad news and loss of Joshua back in 2011. I originally met Joshua in the late 1970’s when I was working in the Far East and then in Italy. At the time, I was managing various parts of the Wella organisation and Joshua was one of the top stars from the industry who came and shared his wonderful skills with the local hairdressing fraternities. During this time, we struck up a great friendship, seeing one another and keeping in touch for many years. We shared an enthusiasm and boyish sense of humour and passed some hilarious times together. The years passed and we drifted our different ways and now I am left with the huge regret of not seeing more of him and not being able to ever do so again… However I will always cherish the many moments and images that I have of him… His impish, smiling face under a top hat a friend wedding… His surprise at being kissed on his noble pate by the gay owner of the Twin Brothers restaurant… His trying to control his waist line by breathing in and holding his stomach tight for as long as he could… His amazement and uncontrollable laughter when I removed the wing mirror of my sparking new Alfa Romeo speeding up a narrow street in Gardone Riviera… Of struggling to translate one his jokes to a transfixed audience of hairdressers in Rome… Of my last meeting and lunch with him together with Paul Jupp in Romsey… And many more that leave me smiling and thankful that I shared some great times with a truly lovely and immensely talented guy. Big hugs and fond memories to dear Joshua… You and will forever be sorely missed by those who were fortunate enough to know you… Roger Meadows
